Groomer-owner Sarah Armstrong has parlayed her lifelong love of animals into a popular and successful business. From her first dog, a German Shepherd named Thor, through her newest puppy, Golden Retriever Glengowan Kissin’s No Sin (call name: Kiss) Sarah has owned and fostered countless pets.

She has a vast breadth of knowledge about most animals, having owned horses, donkeys, cattle, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks, canaries, cockatoos, guinea pigs, hamsters, ferrets, and rabbits.
She has worked professionally as an Animal Control Officer, Shelter Manager, and Veterinary Technician for a veterinarian specializing in exotic animals.

She became a professional groomer in 1980 and moved to Anchorage in 1997.

The name Golden Days came from her love of the Golden Retriever breed. The Golden Days logo is a photo of the five Golden Retrievers that moved with Sarah to Alaska.
